Adopt A Cop


Evening all. Police Constable George Dixon here to report more rum doings at Dock Green. The Home Office has given the Christian Police Association(CPA) £10,000 to fight crime with the power of prayer.

The CoAct Adopt A Cop project will fund Christians and police working together in the community.

A CPA co-ordinator at each police station tells churches what needs praying about and CoAct have also issued a list of general guidelines that include praying for:

  • Neighbourhood police officers

Cast Lead

We Germans have lots of traditions pertaining to New Year's Eve (which over here is called Silvester) and the beginning of each new year. Just from the top of my head: Of course, there is food, in many families traditionally Fondue, there's the firecrackers, and there's drinking in moderation, of course! And then there's the weirder traditions, like watching the same, English-language (!) skit every year.

The 10:23 Campaign. Homeopathy - There's Nothing In It

We critically thinking, rational types are well aware that the reason why homeopathy doesn’t work beyond the placebo effect is because, in all probability, there are bugger all active ingredients in any remedy above 15C. In fact, the scientifically unproven technique of like curing like means that even the remedies below 15C, that might just contain the odd molecule of the original ingredient, are hardly any more likely to work either.

Even as the circulation of The Express collapses, the newspaper continues to lead the way to oblivion with the sort of conspiracy-driven journalism that wouldn't look out of place in the National Inquirer.
