What an absolute crock indeed. As a matter of fact, in my country DO consult people with Bachelor degrees when they're sick - the people we call Doctors DO NOT HAVE DOCTORATES.
And unsurprisingly, there are far more people with BSc degrees than people who call themselves climate scientists (most of us are specialists in fields with much longer recognition than this modern hybrid creation.)
Can't you do better than this? Apparently even your (alleged) madman could see the subversion of the peer review process even before it was publicly exposed by Climategate.

Actually, the majority of scientists regardless of field or academic achievement believe in climate change. For an excellent graphical illustration:

Also, undergraduate medical degrees, although Bachelor's by name, are considered equivalent academically to Master's degrees in many of the European countries that offer them.
