This is an old clip (in blog years) from 2006, but worth reposting. It shows the result when Jeremy Paxman, the notoriously hard-hitting British journalist with an intense dislike of "dumbing-down", was asked by his producers on current affairs show Newsnight to read out the weather forecast rather than the latest stock market figures on his shows.
