Well, I'm proud to say that I'll be starting a new job at the beginning of November. In the meantime, I'm currently busy trying to get my affairs in Cambridge in order, and hunting for a somewhere to stay in the Maidenhead/Windsor area, so apologies to my readership for the lack of posts this month.
November looks like being a big month for TLS though. In particular, there are four big developments:
1) Praxis returns to its home blog for the first time on November 15th.
2) Due to a stroke of luck I'll be hosting the Carnival of the Liberals on U.S. Election night.
3) I can finally start working on a reimplementation of the BPSDB code, with new features in the pipeline.
4) I'll be starting a new, "professional" blog on the side.
I'll also be celebrating my return to the blogosphere at the start of November by awarding the prize for the Carnival of the Godless competition. One person is in front at the moment, but there's still time for a better answer!
So stay tuned!

I note you avoided mentioning the "S" word.
I always tell people Slough is quite nice really. Is the new job at TVU then?
Lol, I've heard bad things about Slough so I wasn't tempted. No, t's not at TVU. I'd tell you, but I try to keep my rear end covered here regarding where I work and so on.

The mention of TVU was a bit of a windup, sorry. Biological modelling ain't quite their speciality. I can make a couple of more sensible guesses about places in this area that would be appropriate; but mum's the word.
