So my number one fan DiamondGuzzler, who took issue with my MuhammedTube post, is still trying to convince me that I'm a pawn in a gigantic war between Christians and Muslims. Hopefully AOL will do the decent thing and pull his account now that I've reported his hate speech. In the meantime, he's sent yet another e-mail, in spite of having promised me that he would delete any reply.

I can't be bothered to keep sending e-mails, so here is his e-mail with my reply inserted. Have fun.

Being rational my friend is based on using logic. You have made no logical argument here - indeed, many of the things you have said are in conflict.

But why is it Islam that is lying? Why isn't it Christianity that's lying? Have you considered that possibility? There is no more evidence to support Christianity than there is to support Islam.

More simply, your logic rests on the assumption that the Christian Jesus is "right", which is completely unproven. The Bible, along with any other book, does not constitute evidence - it is merely a written account of a possible truth, no more accurate that the person who wrote it (or in our case, translated it).

This is all merely your opinion - you have no evidence to back it up. If you believe it, fine, but don't claim that it is a "rational" belief.

What if I don't want to be Christian or Muslim? What does it matter, as long as I lead a good life? You may have "faith", but I don't go around spreading hate - I'd say that, if anything, I'm ahead of you in the queue for heaven.

Where have I suppressed any truth, exactly? And show me any evidence of this "war", because as far as I can see there certainly are not hordes of Muslims attempting to battle for my soul.
